NASL Pickem is now available. Play for free.
What?
I'm sure the majority of you that frequent this website immediately thought, "What the hell is the NASL?". The North American Soccer League is the second division of soccer in North America and a reincarnation of the famous league from the 70s and early 80s of the same name. I'm a season ticket holder for one of the eleven teams and follow it closely. All of the leagues' games will be broadcast online via ESPN3 this season.
Why?
There is no pickem or fantasy game for the league anywhere on the internet. I frequent the subreddit for the league and put out a feeler for a potential game that received enough positive feedback to motivate me to re-purpose the code from Premier League Pickem to create NASL Pickem with an extra feature or two.

The original ASFL2 Fantasy Game, MLB Day-to-Day Pickem is back after a one year hiatus. Pick one team to win each day through the MLB regular season. You get points for correct picks and lose points for incorrect picks with correct pick streaks gaining more points as you go. The only catch is you can't pick the same team to win more than twice in a given game week.
For those that haven't taken part in any previous incarnations of the game, I suggest starting out with the rules page. The number of playoff qualifiers won't be determined until I have a feel for how many participants there will be, but I don't anticipate changing from the usual 25.
I need a volunteer to set and announce the DMUs each week and I'll need multiple volunteers to help update scores through the season. If you're interested, please reply to the game thread.
Please let me know of any issues with the game immediately via email or the game thread.

The inaugural edition of ASFL2 Fantasy MLS is now available.
The game is run through Yahoo! in the same format as Fantasy Premier League.
The league ID is 157 and the password is 58xbf4z.
The season starts next Friday, March 6th, at 10 PM ET with the Chicago Fire visiting the LA Galaxy. Things kickoff nationally with a triple header on Sunday, March 8th. Two new clubs debut at 5 PM ET on ESPN2 with New York City FC visiting Orlando City with David Villa and Kaka starring. The New York Red Bulls also travel to Sporting KC at 7 PM ET on Fox Sports 1 before the night ends at 9:30 PM ET on FS1 with the New England Revolution visiting the Seattle Sounders in front of their 45,000+.
If you're unfamiliar with Major League Soccer, wikipedia highlights the changes from last season while the league website itself has great daily coverage as well as a nice history section for the league.

I also have a personal request.
I play on a traveling kickball team that's trying to fundraise a bit for jerseys. To help, please click this link and sign up then perform a few tasks (I didn't name the team). Most of the tasks involve Facebook and Twitter, but just signing up helps us a little bit. You don't have to do the tasks in order, and for the email invite portion you can use one of mine and/or one of the league IDs. You can undo and delete the social media items after you do them and still help us as well (i.e., delete a tweet, app or Facebook post).
