Keeper Leagues Bid System
9:58 PM ET on 7/4/11 by Jay Soester
The new Keeper Leagues Bid System is now available.

The new system is designed to allow for me to easily see member qualifications when determining who to give out available Keeper Leagues teams while also allowing those applying to see what they're up against and what's available. If you already have a team, you aren't obliged to submit a bid to keep the team; so long as you submit your players for the coming season, you'll still have it. Those already participating can use the system to bid for a team in a higher division, however.

The introductory page explains what criteria are used to give out teams.

The bid page automatically gathers the relevant information for all current ASFL2 members then allows the bidder to denote a preference for all teams by division. The roster for each team can be see via link from the team name or up to four can be see on the bid page. A bidder can also choose to denote his preference to be placed in each division beneath the team section.

The final piece of the system is the bids list page. The page features a list of bids received which includes a breakdown of the number of bids for a team in each division, the latest update of each bid and the number of bid updates. The page also features a breakdown of the likely availablity of each team and the number of times it has been bid for specifically.

This message board thread is available to ask any questions you may have about the system.

Fantasy Baseball Promotion & Relegation News
4:07 PM ET on 9/6/10 by Jay Soester
This was posted on the message board and is being mentioned here for everyone.

Promotion News
I should first note that the second place team has around an 80/85% chance of being promoted after the playoffs while the third place team probably has around a 60/66.7% chance of being promoted.

Second Division
Anders Nilsson has clinched promotion to the Premier Division. Jeff Mazurek has a leg up from the second spot and would win head-to-heads with Jeff Johnson, Aaron Freeman & Robert Flatt, but lose to Bill Waxman.

Third Division
Nathan Susanto has clinched promotion to the Second Division. Ryan Rodebush is in the head-to-head spot and would win head-to-heads with Anthony Lombardo, Ken Patton and Eoin Adams, but would lose to Kevin Cheek.

Fourth Division
John Wright has already clinched a place in the Third Division next season. Chris Harris would win any head-to-head scenario with Jason Oroszi or Kobi Akers, but not John Galvano or Mike Carson.

Relegation News
Premier Division
Ryan Drzik & Don Greenslate are guaranteed to be relegated to the Second Division for next season. Tim Schneider would be looking for head-to-head scenarios that would free him, but Rick Macaluso's nonexistence saves him from having to. Don Greenslate can still be saved, but it'll take the 5th seed from the Second Division bring promoted.

Second Division
Bill McConnell & Matthew Hardman fell to the auto-relegation spots and will compete in the Third Division next season. Ronny Funderburk is in the head-to-head spot. He would win the playoff with Bill Horton and Buske, but lose it to Susan Gantz...of course if Bill Waxman isn't promoted there's a 90% chance he's going to be removed and the spot becomes moot.

Third Division
Chris Carter & Steve Irvine are in the auto-relegation spots with Jason Hurst in the playoff spot. Hurst won't need to worry about having won the right head-to-head series over the season as Matt Burton's team will be sent down instead due to dissappearance. Unfortunately, Ray Rossetti (90%) and Eoin Adams (60%) teams are likely to see replacements as well.

Promotions & relegations have now officially denoted on each division standings page for the past season of both hockey & basketball. Congrats to those on the way up, good luck to those on the way down. I hope to have the drafts for next season for both sports together in the next few days along with the drafts for football.
