- You don't see a team defending nearly all out give up a goal with less than ten minutes to go come back to win it anyway very of ten...I enjoyed the hell out of it.
- A win's a win, but we didn't look particularly good...not in the way that team's parking the bus don't look good, but in the genuine not looking good sense. I want to put it down to attrition and backing off after taking the lead, but I'm not getting my hopes up yet.
- Ghana's goalie looked completely lost when he was tested, I would have liked to of seen him actually get tested on a regular basis. With Ghana's lack of height, I would have liked to of seen more set pieces won too.
- Jermaine Jones had a great game, far and away our best outfield player.
- Howard had a good game, but he shouldn't be beaten near post...that mistake brings him down from great.
- Dempsey wasn't the same after the cleat to the face, but he's possibly the only American player in history with the balls to try and score that goal.
- Fabian Johnson is quite possibly our best attacking threat...but he's got to be able to realize when to not attack.
- Bradley had a bad game for Bradley, which might be a passable game for most. He made some poor decisions and went stretches without getting involved.
- Cameron had a few shaky moments, but overall was smart and solid as the other center back. Beckerman was in the same boat as the defensive point of the midfield diamond.
- After shitting his pants for the first 5-10 minutes, Brooks came into his own and played well as the co-driver of the parked bus. I don't think he can pull off helping to drive a bus in motion, and for that reason I thoroughly hope Besler is good to go vs Portugal.
- Beasley looked like shit, I'm hoping it was because he was going against their focus of the attack and two great players, but Ronaldo and Nani going at him is a frightening prospect.
- Bedoya didn't look particularly good either- just didn't seem to get into the game. Zusi should probably be starting next game, and should have come on earlier if we had more subs available.
- Before I actually read or hear someone suggesting Donovan should have been brought to back up Altidore, Donovan can't handle that role, he would be more for Dempsey relief and even that's stretching it, he's more of a wide player and wouldn't fit in the system we're using. Johannsson doesn't fit into Altidore's spot either, I would have liked to of seen Terrance Boyd make the roster as the closest thing to a replacement we have. If not for Brooks' performance, I'd be lamenting Clarence Goodson not being included.
